The Muslim Converts Channel is an online curriculum for converts to Islam. MCC is meant to address two issues in relation to the acquisition of modern knowledge: quality of content and the medium of the message.

Current publications on Shia Islam are largely translations from Persian and Arabic. Not only are the translations problematic, but their contents are naturally irrelevant to converts from a cultural perspective. Even with works that are organic, its contents are usually too simplistic which does a disservice to the intellectual heritage of the Ahl al-Bayt (as).

MCC is a curriculum that was written organically here in America by academics of Islam. Its contents are meant to be intellectually rigorous but written in a language that is accessible to the average English speaker.

In the twenty-first century, the new medium of knowledge is the web and visual media (especially videos). For this reason, MCC is entirely online and its curriculum not only has a written script, but each lesson also has its videos. Each lesson has a long version and a summary version for people who are time constricted. There are over 200 long and summary lessons on the site with over 200 videos.
